Scott MacLeod and his family have been part of the Summit Christian Academy community since 2009. Having served as an SCA parent, Board member, and Board Vice President, Scott brings a deep understanding of the school’s mission and a longstanding commitment to Christian education. Affectionately known as “Colonel” by students and staff, Scott is now in his 8th year as Head of School, drawing on decades of experience in leadership, strategy, and organizational development to equip the next generation of servant leaders.
Scott retired as a Colonel following a distinguished 31-year military career, including two tours in Iraq and leadership of thousands of soldiers at home and abroad. A graduate of the U.S. Army War College, he holds an M.S. in Quality Systems Management and an M.S. in National Strategic Studies. Beyond his military service, Scott has served twice as a CEO, most recently leading a Texas-based technology company developing training programs for first responders and hospitals. He is also a
commissioned Colson Fellow.
Scott and his wife, Amy, met while attending Sam Houston State University. Amy serves as one of SCA’s registered nurses, and their two daughters are proud Eagles. Their oldest is an SCA graduate who graduated from Texas A&M University and is now pursuing graduate studies at The University of Texas, while their youngest is currently enrolled at Summit. The MacLeod family has been actively involved in their church since 1999.
