Gary Kidwell, Board President

Gary holds a BS in electrical engineering physics from Texas Tech University. He works for a semiconductor company in the computing industry, specializing in power engineering. Gary also served as an Infantryman in the US Army’s 10th Mountain Division. His family has been at Summit since 2011 and he is blessed to help support SCA teachers, staff and students as they impact the world for Christ Jesus, our Lord.

Vance Faulks, Secretary

Vance is married to his best friend, Stacy Faulks, with their three boys, Max, Joshua and Joel, all attending Summit Christian Academy. Their purpose as a family is to partner with those they love and care about to help their dreams come true. Vance has a heart for the restoration of healthy family values into this generation and to demonstrate healthy family in partnership with the Living God. He and his family are excited to be part of the Summit community, and look forward to having the privilege to help launch the futures of the amazing kids at Summit.

Marispy Fitzpatrick

Marispy Fitzpatrick brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the table as a marketing strategist for a Loop1  IT operations management. 

On a personal level, Marispy is a proud parent of an elementary and middle school student at Summit. She understands the importance of a quality education and is dedicated to ensuring that our school provides the best possible learning environment for all students.

In addition to her professional and academic pursuits, Marispy has a passion for fitness training. She regularly participates in community fitness initiatives in Austin, TX, and believes that a healthy body and mind are essential for success in all areas of life.

Corey Martin

With over 16 years of specialization in investment sales, land acquisition/disposition and development in the field of commercial real estate, Corey Martin brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to SCA’s governing board. Corey has three children who attend Summit. He and his wife are always ready to roll up their sleeves and help with any needs on campus. In fact, last year Corey coached the middle school golf team, showing his dedication to our students both in and out of the classroom.

Sara Reed

Sara is a full time business leader in a worldwide organization running a high volume sales team across the United States. A strong believer in innovative education methods that inspire students to grow into their full potential, Sara believes in the development of every individual child to explore their God given talents, and finds comfort in this all taking place in a Christ centered environment.

Sara has two children and is married to her husband Chip, who shares with her a heart for service in the non-profit sector related to today’s youth, as well in God’s Kingdom. Sara served on the first SCA innovation committee, as a room Mom, and now as a Board Member. 

Rosalynn Smith, PhD

Rosalynn received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from Texas Tech University. Her Doctorate of Philosophy in Biological Engineering is from the University of Missouri – Columbia, Missouri. Dr. Smith is a registered Patent Agent with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). She has worked in the field of intellectual property law since 2006. Recently, Rosalynn joined the Mosaic Church Austin staff as Director of Adult Education. Over the past ten years Rosalynn has lived life as an NFL wife, Intellectual Law Consultant, author, speaker, teacher, parent volunteer, and best of all mom! As a parent volunteer Rosalynn has participated as a Summit Christian Academy Jr. Board Member, Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) Speech Meet Judge, Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF) Parent Coordinator, National Christian Forensics and Communications Association (NCFCA) Regional Championship Judge, and reading tutor.
