Gary Kidwell, Board President

Gary holds a BS in electrical engineering physics from Texas Tech University. He works for a semiconductor company in the computing industry, specializing in power engineering. Gary also served as an Infantryman in the US Army’s 10th Mountain Division. His family has been at Summit since 2011 and he is blessed to help support SCA teachers, staff and students as they impact the world for Christ Jesus, our Lord.

Scott MacLeod, Vice-President

Scott currently serves as the Commander of one of the nation’s 10 Homeland Response Forces, responsible for providing military support to civilian first responders throughout FEMA Region VI (Texas, OK, New Mexico and LA). Colonel MacLeod has more than 28 years of service, two deployments to Iraq, and is a graduate of the U.S. Army War College. He is also an adult discipleship leader and Sunday School Teacher at his church, GT Austin. The MacLeod family has been involved with Summit since 2009.

Jerry Anderson, Secretary

Jerry grew up in northeastern Minnesota. After three years in the Army he moved to Texas where he owned and operated 2 hotels. He and his family have been a part of SCA since 2011. They have a daughter who graduated from Summit and currently have a son and host an international student who attends SCA. Jerry is committed to the Summit vision and has a passionate heart for the staff, teachers, and families at SCA.

David Schnucker

David holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from University of Missouri – Rolla. He is a martial arts instructor with a Christ-centered teaching style. For the past ten years, David has been involved with aiding various manufacturing companies with quality and process efficiency improvements. He strongly believes in a mission of impacting the world for Christ through our legacy…children. David has three children who have been a part of the SCA family since 2007.

Vance Faulks

Vance is married to his best friend, Stacy Faulks, with their three boys, Max, Joshua and Joel, all attending Summit Christian Academy. Their purpose as a family is to partner with those they love and care about to help their dreams come true. Vance has a heart for the restoration of healthy family values into this generation and to demonstrate healthy family in partnership with the Living God. He and his family are excited to be part of the Summit community, and look forward to having the privilege to help launch the futures of the amazing kids at Summit.

Rob Patterson

Rob has spent his career in the private sector with technology and telecommunications companies in various roles encompassing, finance, sales, operations, business development and marketing. Growing up the son of a teacher Rob has a passion for Christian education and will work closely with the entire Summit team to “…graduate leaders equipped, enriched, and empowered to impact the world through the power of Jesus Christ.” He and his family moved to Leander three years ago from Castle Rock, CO and have been at Summit for the last 2 years. He holds a BS in Business Administration degree from San Jose State University.

SCA Camp

Camp Summit Enrollment

Camp Summit is a 10 week summer camp designed for Kinder through 5th grade students. It is a blast and meets on the campus of Summit Christian Academy in Cedar Park. Individual weeks can be purchased or the entire summer.

We welcome our international students, believing we are called to serve the international and local Christian communities through a unique emphasis on world populations and missions.

Summit offers a 2-day, 3-day, and 5-Pre-K program. All three options are full-day programs.

SCA Seniors

Our seniors received total cumulative merit-based scholarships of $2,117,145. They also served a total of 3,748 hours in Austin, the United States and Worldwide.
