Elementary School

Upper and Lower Elementary Classroom Teachers - 2026-2027

Education:
– Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field from an accredited college or university
– Valid Teaching Certification
– ACSI certification required within 3 years of employment

Qualifications:
– Models a personal, authentic relationship with Jesus Christ
– Creates a positive learning environment reflective of the love of Christ
– Assesses the learning of students on a regular basis and provides progress reports as required
– Effectively manages a classroom and students
– Committed to forming personal relationships with students and families

– Represents the school in a favorable and professional manner to the constituency and general public
– Follows established school policies, procedures and guidelines in a spirit of positive cooperation.
– Integrates Biblical principles and the Christian philosophy of education throughout the curriculum

Benefits:

– Personal Days: Full time permanent teachers receive one day personal time off for every completed month of service during the contract year, for a maximum of 10 days.

Technology Teacher

Job Title: K–8 Technology Teacher

Summit Christian Academy is an independent, non-denominational, college prep school committed to academic excellence through a biblical worldview. We integrate hands-on technology instruction to equip students with computational thinking, digital literacy, and problem-solving skills.

Position Summary
The K–8 Technology Teacher leads a comprehensive technology program focused on coding, robotics, engineering design, and digital creation. This role develops students’ proficiency in computational thinking, systems design, and iterative problem-solving while fostering creativity, collaboration, and responsible technology use.

Core Responsibilities
– Deliver developmentally appropriate curriculum
– Teach foundational computer science concepts
– Integrate project-based learning (PBL) aligned to STEM best practices
– Maintain and manage classroom hardware, software, and makerspace tools
– Organize and support extracurricular technology initiatives (e.g., robotics club, coding club, tech fairs)
– Partner with faculty and families to promote effective and responsible technology use
– Cultivate a structured, engaging, and Christ-centered classroom culture

Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology Education, Engineering, or related field
– ACSI certification within three years of employment
– Minimum two years of classroom teaching experience preferred
– Technical Competencies
– Experience with block-coding platforms and introductory programming environments
– Familiarity with robotics platforms and 3D printing workflows
– Strong classroom management and instructional design skills
