Kindergarten Preview Day

Kindergarten is a big decision. We’d love to help you make it!

Join us for a morning on campus at Summit Christian Academy for a tour of our beautiful school, and a chance to ask questions to our very own Kindergarten teachers, Registrar, and Business Manager. If you’re looking for a Christ-centered education to prepare your child for life, this is it. We’d love to see you!

Register by April 13th.

Please note “Kinder Preview” in the How Did You Hear About Us section.

At SCA, kindergarten is where students start their educational journey in a caring environment committed to quality education taught from a biblical worldview.

SCA is excited to come alongside students as they embark on their educational journey. The kindergarten experience provides the building blocks for academic learning and develops skills to equip children to be successful students and people. The kindergarten program includes teaching core subjects, including Bible.

  • Reading – Instruction in the foundations of phonics to launch students into reading
  • Writing – Composition of thoughts into written sentences (Inventive spelling is okay.)
  • Math – Addition, subtraction, measurement, calendar skills, simple word problems and more
  • Science – Cultivation of curiosity and engagement in the scientific process as weather, seasons, plants and animals are studied
  • Social Studies – Developing understanding of community, countries and cultures, good citizenship and more
  • Bible – Learning the Word of God through Bible stories, acting out passages, scripture memory, and journaling
  • Soft Skills & Behaviors – Social, emotional, motor, character, and more

Instruction is individualized to benefit students when a greater challenge or more support is needed. And, the day includes hands-on and active learning.
