Val recently returned to Austin with his wife, Elizabeth, and three girls after living the past 13 years in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. He is an experienced leader in Information Technology, having served as IT Director for several organizations and consulting the past nine years. His passion is creating sustainable, responsive organizations and technologies that can adapt to ever-changing customer demands.
He has brought this approach to leading IT teams for National Instruments, Craig Hospital, Nordstrom, Point B, and many other organizations. Most recently, Val led a series of system migrations and security implementations for SCL Health, managing efforts across 200+ staff and vendors for 22,000 users in 80 locations while preventing any patient safety issues.
Val earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Oklahoma and is a former President of the OU Club of Austin and Advisory Board Member for Make a Wish Colorado.
