Get To Know Mr. Austin

Mr. Austin was born in Cleveland and spent part of his childhood in Boston before moving to Austin. He attended McCallum High School and graduated from the University of Texas, Austin. Mr. Austin met his wife Karen during school and quickly proposed. They have four grown children.

“I’ve been taking things apart and fixing since I could hold a screwdriver and spent many years working on projects at National Instruments, including major ones with LEGO robotics,” says Mr. Austin. Aside from his computer science work, Mr. Austin loves the outdoors, sailing, biking and teaching.

“During high school, I heard God calling, and said I want to follow wherever He wanted and have been figuring that out ever since,” says Mr. Austin. “My faith is the foundation of all I teach. Hebrews 11:3 By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible.”
