Grade 6-12
The SCA football program began with its inaugural season in 2004 and has played six man football in all but one season in which the team moved to 11 man. In its history Summit has had players sign collegiately to such schools as Olivet Nazarene University, McMurry University, Southern Assemblies of God, Texas Tech University and Hardin-Simmons University, among others. In recent years, the SCA varsity football team has found great success reaching the state semifinals 2 years in a row. Amassing an overall record of 19-5. The 2020 team looks to build on this success having all players from the 2019 state semifinal team returning.
SCA’s middle school football team competes in the South Texas Football Conference. The middle school team focuses on learning the fundamentals and playing as one unit.
