Back To School Retreat

The tradition of starting the year with high school and intermediate retreat continues. The 2025 retreat theme is Colossians 1:15, “The Image of God.”

This year’s retreats will be held at Camp Tejas in Giddings, Texas. Camp Tejas has been ‘setting the stage’ for years for young people’s lives to be changed by the power and influence of the truth and love of Jesus. Tejas will serve our student leadership team and our speakers as we build community and strengthen our student body by working, playing and learning/praying together. It is a great opportunity for the teachers and students alike to get to know one another outside of the classroom.  We’ve seen God do amazing things in all our lives. These retreats are also a time of fun; host Camp Tejas offers a zip line, climbing wall, and many other recreational opportunities.

Impact Education is a core value at Summit Christian Academy. We encourage students to “reach out” to others by serving in their homes and communities and beyond; among the hurting, the lonely, and the needy; by studying God’s Word; and following Christ’s example. Back to School Retreat is just one of the tools we use to help accomplish this goal.
