SCA Students Lead at National Day of Prayer Event

Summit Christian Academy > Faith > SCA Students Lead at National Day of Prayer Event

Students from Summit Christian Academy once again had the opportunity to participate in the annual National Day of Prayer event held at the Cedar Park Police Station, continuing a school  tradition that has spanned more than two decades.

This year marked SCA’s 21st year participating in the event. High School Worship team members Faith, Kalen, Noah, and Lisa led the National Anthem, while Elementary Student Council members Kaitlyn, Bethany, and Preston led the pledges during the ceremony.

The National Day of Prayer is a yearly observance rooted in a long-standing American tradition. Established by Congress in 1952 and designated as an annual observance on the first Thursday in May by President Reagan in 1988, the day invites people across the nation to pray for the country, our leaders, and our communities.

Across the United States, National Day of Prayer gatherings take place in schools, churches, courthouses, city halls, and public spaces. For SCA students, participating in the local event provides a unique opportunity to engage with the community. Our students represented the school with excellence.

SCA is grateful to continue being part of this tradition and for the students who helped make this year’s event special.
