As we begin this school year, we want to take a moment to share more about what it means when we say, “We partner with families.” A student spends roughly 1,000 hours at school each year, which means the time they spend on our campus plays a meaningful role in shaping who they are becoming. We recognize, however, that a student’s development extends far beyond the classroom. When school, home, and church work together, students are surrounded by people who know them, love them, challenge them, and point them toward Christ.
We believe parents are the primary stewards of their children, and we are honored to come alongside you in that responsibility. Our goal is not simply to educate students academically, but to invest in the whole child and help develop young men and women who are equipped to impact the world for Christ.
As the year unfolds, one of our greatest priorities will be to know and understand each student as a unique individual. Every student has been created with different gifts, talents, strengths, interests, and personalities. Our responsibility is to intentionally steward those differences—to meet students where they are, help them discover their God-given gifts, and encourage them to grow into the people God has called them to be.
We want every Summit family to know that you are not doing this alone. We are here to communicate, support, encourage, and walk alongside you throughout your child’s journey. We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with you and invest in the lives of your students.
