Summit Pilots Aiki: Leading the Way in Innovative Campus Safety

At Summit Christian Academy, safety isn’t just a priority, it’s a commitment. This week, we began piloting an innovative new crisis management system called Aiki, introduced and demonstrated to our faculty by co-founders Damian McKeon (COO) and Ashley Hamilton (CEO). Aiki is a real-time emergency response platform built by first responders that unites classroom alerts and seamless communication across staff and first responders.

Our campus is already equipped with multiple layers of security, including a secure front gate, full perimeter fencing, more than 20 security cameras, and strict visitor screening. These measures help ensure that every child, staff member, and visitor is in a safe and protected environment.

The decision to pilot Aiki is about staying ahead of the curve in crisis preparedness. With features like instant communication, interactive campus mapping, and coordinated response tools, Aiki allows schools and first responders to act faster and more effectively during emergencies.

Our partnership with Aiki is a pilot, not yet an implementation. Our staff will receive full training, and the system will be thoroughly tested before it becomes a permanent part of our safety plan. This is not driven by fear, but by confidence and responsibility in protecting the children the Lord has entrusted to us.

At Summit, excellence in education goes hand-in-hand with excellence in safety. From our secure campus to our proactive readiness measures, we are committed to providing peace of mind for every family who walks through our doors.
