Summit Christian Academy’s mission has always been about more than college admission. Our mission involves shaping young men and women who impact the world for Christ.
This fall, our Varsity Football program is in a rebuilding stage after the graduation of many key players in 2025. This fall, six players committed to the varsity football program. Because at least nine players are needed to safely field a team, Summit will not compete in varsity football this season. With a younger group stepping in, we are dedicating this year to laying a strong foundation for the future of SCA Football.
The season ahead is far from a pause. Instead, it is an opportunity to rebuild and prepare for the strong future we see ahead.
Under the leadership of Coach Brett Millican, former collegiate and NFL player, discipleship pastor and Christ-centered mentor, our football boys will dedicate this season to building strength, speed, and character. Daily strength training sessions will focus on developing physical ability, while activities like flag football scrimmages and family cookouts will actively strengthen bonds both on and off the field in preparation for next season.
The Summit Athletic Department and Administration looks ahead with confidence as enrollment is expected to grow in 2026-2027, and a committed group of younger athletes rising through the SCA Football pipeline.
Meanwhile, our athletics program is full of excitement this fall. Varsity volleyball is off to a blazing start at 7-1 and Cross Country opens the season August 23, preparing for a September race in Seaside, Oregon. We also look forward to strong seasons ahead in basketball, golf, and tennis.
Parents and students can still look forward to Kinder Kickoff (September 18), Grandparents Day (October 9), and Homecoming (January 16). SCA Administration is committed to keeping parents informed with details as these dates approach.
Although 2025 looks different for Summit football, it is a year filled with purpose and drive as our athletes work to reclaim the State Championship title.
