Secondary Faculty

Elementary Faculty

Elementary Classroom Teacher 24/25 – Two Positions: Kindergarten & Third Grade

Education:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field from an accredited college or university
  • Valid Teaching Certification
  • ACSI certification required within the first year of employment

Experience:

  • Teaching in a school setting: 2 years (Preferred)

Qualifications:

  • Models a personal, authentic relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Creates a positive learning environment reflective of the love of Christ
  • Assesses the learning of students on a regular basis and provides progress reports as required
  • Effectively manages a classroom and students
  • Committed to forming personal relationships with students and families
  • Works cooperatively with team members
  • Represents the school in a favorable and professional manner to the constituency and general public
  • Follows established school policies, procedures and guidelines in a spirit of positive cooperation.
  • Integrates Biblical principles and the Christian philosophy of education throughout the curriculum
  • Possesses proficient technology skills and willing to adapt to technology changes
  • Equipped to teach in an innovative, inquiry-based manner where students are challenged to think critically
  • Other duties as assigned as needed

Benefits:

  • Full-time permanent teachers are eligible to participate in group medical, dental, and vision insurance and a 401K.

Personal Days:

  • Full time permanent teachers receive one day personal time off for every completed month of service during the contract year, for a maximum of 10 days.

Elementary Music Teacher/Secondary Choir Director

This position includes teaching weekly elementary music classes, teaching middle/high school choir, and leading elementary worship during chapel. The candidate must have teaching experience and be equipped to teach from a Biblical worldview.

Administration & Staff Positions

Marketing & Communications Manager

Summit Christian Academy is an independent, non-denominational, college preparatory school dedicated to the highest academic standards taught through a biblical worldview.  We are currently looking to add a marketing communications professional to the administrative team. The position is currently part-time, but full-time employment may be considered depending on experience.

 

Duties:

  • Communicating with target audiences, including written communication
  • Maintaining school website
  • Creating advertising plans
  • Managing social media content
  • Managing email marketing to potential families
  • Organizing and supporting public relations initiatives
  • Coordinating annual online fundraiser
  • Maintaining search engine business listings
  • Developing and executing marketing plans
