Homecoming Week is almost here, and we’re ready to celebrate all things Summit!
From dress-up days and school traditions to the pep rally, tailgate, football game,
and Homecoming Dance, October 4–9 will be packed with opportunities
for our students and families to show their Eagle spirit and celebrate our community together.

Win Rock-Paper-Scissors challenges to collect beads. Get 5 necklaces and you can challenge staff! Most beads wins a dozen donuts for their homeroom.

Students can join the fun with a different Homecoming dress-up theme throughout the week:
Monday: Red, White & Blue
Kick off Homecoming Week by covering campus in our patriotic colors.
Tuesday: 50 Great States
From Texas cowboys to Hawaiian shirts, represent one of our 50 great states.
Wednesday: Famous Americans
Come dressed as a famous figure from American history, culture, sports,
entertainment, and more.
Thursday: As American As…
Baseball, apple pie, Route 66, the Wild West, NASA, blue jeans — get creative
with something that feels uniquely American!
It wouldn’t be Homecoming in Texas without mums!
Our SCA Cheer program is creating and selling Homecoming mums again this year.
Purchasing your mum through Summit is a fun way to participate in a Texas
Homecoming tradition while directly supporting our school.
The deadline to order is Friday, October 2, so don’t wait until
Homecoming Week to get yours!
Homecoming isn’t just for the students. We want our families there, too!
Parents are invited to join us Friday, October 9 at 9:50 AM
for our Homecoming Pep Rally. We’ll celebrate our Eagles, recognize several
of our athletic teams, enjoy performances from Cheer and Dance, and bring
plenty of friendly competition and school spirit.
Parents of students participating or being recognized during the pep rally
are especially encouraged to attend. Come see your student be part of one
of the most spirited mornings of the year!
Before Friday night’s game, meet us at Vista Ridge for our
Homecoming Tailgate from 6–7 PM.
We’ll have games, face painting, activities, and tailgate food available
for purchase. It’s a great chance for elementary, secondary, alumni, staff,
and families to spend time together before heading into the stands.
Food available for purchase includes hamburgers, hot dogs, and Kona Ice!
Then it’s game time.
At 7:30 PM, our Varsity Eagles take the field at Vista Ridge
for the Homecoming football game.
We want to see a sea of red, white, and blue in the stands!
And elementary families have a little extra reason to show up:
the elementary class with the highest attendance at the Homecoming
game will win a Bomb Pop party!
Regular admission prices apply: $5 for adults and
$3 for non-SCA students. Admission is free for SCA students
and alumni, children under 2, and seniors age 65+.
Come early. Bring your Summit spirit. Cheer loud.
After a week full of school spirit, students will close out the celebration
with our Homecoming Dance.
Get ready for a star-spangled night to remember on October 10 from 8-11PM!
where students can dress up, spend time with friends,
dance, and celebrate Homecoming together.
Homecoming gives us plenty of reasons to have fun, but what makes it special
is seeing the entire Summit community come together.
Our youngest Eagles get to watch the traditions they’ll one day participate
in themselves. Our older students have opportunities to lead. Parents and staff
cheer from the sidelines. Alumni return to a place that was once part of their
everyday lives.
For one week, we get to celebrate what it means to be part of Summit —
past, present, and future.
So plan those outfits, order your mum, invite the entire family, join us for the pep rally,
and make plans to be at Vista Ridge Friday night.
