We are thrilled to introduce the very first Student Council for our 5th grade at Summit Christian Academy! This marks an exciting new chapter in fostering leadership, responsibility, and service among our students.
The selection process for the council was thoughtfully designed to identify students who demonstrate a heart for service, a commitment to excellence, and strong leadership potential. Students interested in serving on the council began by submitting a short essay explaining why they felt they should be chosen. From there, a selection committee—including Mrs. Varnier, Mrs. Ott, Coach J, Mrs. Trotter, and Mrs. East—carefully reviewed the essays and listened to presentations before casting their votes.
Once selected, the members signed a contract committing to uphold the values of SCA, including maintaining an A/B average and E’s in conduct, and pledging to serve their school and community faithfully.

Under the guidance of their sponsor, Mrs. Glenn (our dedicated fourth-grade teacher), the council members will take on key responsibilities, including:
– Serving as safety patrol during morning drop-off
– Leading chapel lessons
– Participating in an Impact Project to serve the community
– Organizing and hosting a future fundraiser to support school initiatives
We are excited to see how these exceptional students will use their talents and leadership to make a difference at SCA and beyond. Please join us in congratulating them and praying for their success as they embark on this meaningful journey of service and leadership!
