About Summit Christian Academy Tuition Assistance
Summit Christian Academy (SCA) provides need-based tuition assistance to families, covering up to 50% of tuition costs. An independent third party, FACTS Management System, Inc., is used to evaluate applications.
Important Information
Application Deadline: Returning students must apply by March 15, 2025. New student applications are accepted through July 31, 2025.
Eligibility Requirements:
— Submit student applications or re-enrollment documents annually.
— Stay current with tuition and fees if already enrolled.
— Complete the online FACTS application by the published deadline.
— Pay the application fee(per family) when submitting the online application.
— Reapply for tuition assistance every year.
— Upload the required financial documents (e.g. current tax returns and W-2 statements) to FACTS. Incomplete applications without these documents may lead to ineligibility.
Evaluation Criteria
The SCA Financial Committee evaluates tuition assistance applications based on the following factors:
— The available budget allocated for tuition assistance.
— The family’s demonstrated commitment to Christian education.
— The overall recommendation provided by FACTS.
— Parents’ income, as reflected in tax returns and other financial documents.
— Parents’ assets and qualified expenses, calculated using the FACTS formula.
Notification and Acceptance
— Families are notified of tuition assistance decisions by the end of the school year.
— Award acceptance deadlines are stated in the notification.
— Awards must be acknowledged and returned to the business office before being applied to tuition.
Additional Requirements
VOLUNTEER SERVICE HOURS:
Families awarded tuition assistance are required to complete the volunteer service hours specified in their award letter. Failure to fulfill these hours may result in ineligibility for tuition assistance in the following school year.
PRE-KINDERGARTEN:
Tuition assistance is not available for pre-kindergarten students.
NOTE:
Strict adherence to deadlines and application completeness is necessary to be eligible for tuition assistance.
