The Senior Seminar Program at Summit Christian Academy is one of many ways we graduate empowered leaders who impact the world for Christ. This year’s program launched with a powerful session led by our Head of School, Colonel Mac Leod, who challenged seniors to consider their personal brand, their God-given gifts, and their long-term goals and interests.
Senior Seminar is more than a class; it’s a bridge to adulthood. Students are exposed to different styles of leadership through seminars with business, medicine, technology, and entrepreneurial leaders. They learn to articulate a biblical worldview, engage in meaningful discussions, and prepare for life beyond graduation.
Colonel Mac Leod encouraged students to see themselves as uniquely equipped by God with gifts and skills designed to bless others. Rather than striving for perfection, he urged them to be available, to use their gifts with confidence, and to recognize that leaders look for those who are prepared and willing to serve.
The first session introduced students to the practical step of creating a five-year plan. This process helps them clarify direction to position themselves for God’s best in the future. As Colonel Mac Leod reminded them, “The best strategy in life is the one that gives you the most options.”
Senior Seminar continues throughout the year, giving our students the tools to impact their future careers, their communities, and the world.
