Coach Sturgell comes to SCA with 13 years of football coaching experience. Prior to taking over the Eagles’ program, he spent the last two years as the Offensive Line Coach at McNeil High School and the previous five years at Leander High School, including two years as Offensive Coordinator. Coach Sturgell began his coaching career at Hudson Middle School in Sachse, TX (NE of Dallas) where he coached for six years overall, the last five of which serving as Boys Athletic Coordinator and Head Football Coach. Coach Sturgell is a proud graduate of Texas Tech University (B.A. 2001) and Lamar University (M.Ed. 2020). He and his wife Deanna have two sons, Daegan and Kysen, who both attend SCA. GO EAGLES!!
