International Students Welcome!

Summit Christian Academy welcomes students from around the world to its campus in Cedar Park, Texas. We have hosted students from Korea, China, Cambodia, Canada, Argentina, Vietnam, and Romania. 

Summit is registered with the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) and is authorized to issue I20s to international students so they may acquire an F-1 visa.

Middle & High School (6th through 12th Grades) International Student Requirements

International students may apply directly for admission by completing the new student application.

APPLICATION FEE
A non-refundable $225.00 application fee is due with the application.

TEST SCORES
Provide results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) for 9th through 12th grades (SCA# 7983). Minimum scores required are as follows: CBT 173 or greater, IBT 61 or greater, Paper and Pencil 500 or greater, and TOEFL Jr. score 750 or greater. Additional testing may be required. If so, a non-refundable testing fee of $50 is due at the time of testing.

STUDENT FEES
A $1,500 international fee, along with a $500 non-refundable new student fee, must be paid upon student acceptance. These fees do not include the shipping charges incurred for mailing the I20.

PROOF OF AVAILABLE FUNDS
Proof of available funds to cover the cost of education must be provided and is required for I20.

GRADE COMPLETION
Students must have completed the grade prior to the one in which they are applying

TRANSCRIPT
Provide transcript translated into English and accompanied by a Certificate of Licensed Translation. The number grades must be recorded as letter grades as well (e.g., 96=A).

RECENT ACHIEVEMENT TEST RESULTS
Provide copies of the most recent achievement test results (if applicable).

BIRTH CERTIFICATE
Provide birth certificate stating the day, month, year, and location of birth, translated into English.

CURRENT IMMUNIZATION RECORDS
These records must be up to date, and translated into English.

CURRENT PHOTO
This photograph will be used solely for identification purposes within the school system.

PERSONAL INTERVIEW
A personal interview with the High School Principal is required. The student and the host or guardian must attend the interview to complete the enrollment process. I20s will not be given prior to the interview. It may be possible to complete this step via Zoom, if necessary.

ATHLETIC PHYSICAL
Students who wish to participate in sports must complete an athletic physical.

ADDITIONAL COSTS
Middle and High school service trips and some extracurricular activities have varying costs associated with them. The purchase of uniforms and high school student personal computers is the responsibility of families.

ADMISSION
An applicant will be notified of his/her acceptance into Summit Christian Academy.

TUITION
Annual tuition must be paid in full when the student is accepted for admission.

I20
Upon acceptance of admission, an I20 will be issued. An invoice will be submitted through FACTS stating the cost of the shipping fee of the I20.
