International Students

We welcome our international students, believing we are called to serve the international and local Christian communities through a unique emphasis on world populations and missions. Select a topic below for more information.

Summit Christian Academy welcomes students from around the world to its campus in Cedar Park, Texas. We have hosted students from Korea, China, Cambodia, Canada, Argentina, and Romania.  Summit is registered with SEVIS, the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System, and is authorized to issue I20’s to international students so that they may acquire an F-1 visa. International students must submit a bank verified financial statement as per the procedures listed below. We offer rolling admission, so there is no need to wait. Families are encouraged to submit their applications by December for the following school year.

High/Intermediate School (6th through 12th Grades) International Student Requirements:

  • International students may apply directly for admission by clicking on the online enrollment.  There is a $150 application fee.
  • Provide results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) for 9th through 12th grades (SCA #7983). Requirements: CBT score 173 or greater, IBT score 61 or greater, Paper and Pencil score 500 or greater. Additional testing may be necessary. If so, a non-refundable testing fee of $50 is required at the time of testing
  • An $800.00 international fee must be paid, as well as a one-time $500 non-refundable new student fee which is due upon student acceptance.  These fees do not include the shipping charges incurred for the mailing of the I-20.
  • Provide proof of available funds to cover the cost of education (required for I-20).
  • Students must have completed the grade prior to the one in which they are applying.
  • Transcript translated into English and accompanied by a Certificate of Licensed Translation. The number grades must be recorded as letter grades as well (e.g., 96=A).
  • Copies of the most recent achievement test results (if applicable).
  • Birth certificate stating the day, month, year, and location of birth, translated into English.
  • Current immunization records, translated into English.
  • Current photo of the student.
  • An interview with the ESL Coordinator at Summit is required.  I-20s will not be given prior to the interview. It may be possible to complete this step via Skype.
  • An applicant will be notified of his/her acceptance into Summit.
  • Annual tuition must be paid in full when the student is accepted for admission.
  • Upon acceptance of admission and payment of tuition, an I-20 will be issued.  An invoice will be submitted through FACTS stating the cost of the shipping fee of the I-20.
  • An athletic physical is required of students desiring to participate in sports.
  • Any hardcopy or paper documents, translated into English, should be mailed to the Summit administration office:
