This is a full-time position split between the duties of an Assistant Athletic Director and a High School Science/Math teacher. Ideally, we are looking for a teacher to teach Physics and AP Calculus. However, we can be flexible with the Science courses based on the candidate and their degree/experience.
Education:
Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field from an accredited college or university; Master’s preferred
Valid Texas Teaching License
ACSI certification required within the first year of employment
Demonstrates a strong Christian testimony and alignment with school values.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to collaborate with school staff, coaches, students, and families.
Current or willingness to obtain First Aid, CPR, and AED certification.
Experience:
Minimum of two years of successful classroom teaching experience

Position Summary – Athletic Director
The Assistant Athletic Director supports the Athletic Director in the leadership and management of the school’s athletic programs across all grade levels. This position helps implement a Christ-centered vision for athletics that aligns with the mission of the school, fosters school spirit, and ensures a high standard of excellence in coaching, communication, and coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Policy & Procedures
Support compliance with corporate policies and athletic procedures.
Assist in enforcing rules and expectations set forth by TAPPS and ACAA.
Financial Support
Help monitor team budgets and expenses for all grade levels.
Process purchase orders and assist with vendor payments for equipment, uniforms, and event fees.
Personnel Assistance
Aid in identifying, onboarding, and evaluating coaches.
Help coordinate team managers, event helpers, and substitute coaching as needed.
Meetings & Communication
Participate in administrative, seasonal coaches’, and parent meetings.
Communicate schedule changes and athletic news to staff, families, and community.
Clerical & Calendar Management
Maintain rosters, update websites/calendars, and handle athletic documentation.
Ensure timely communication about practices, eligibility, waivers, and awards.
Event Operations
Assist with setup, supervision, and follow-up for practices, games, and tournaments.
Coordinate transportation and facility use.

Experience
At least 10 years of experience working in marketing and customer service/support roles
At least 5 years of experience as a Christian education administrator
Experience in designing and leading major gifts programs and demonstrated ability to secure funding for major projects such as capital expansion
Qualifications
Evangelical Christian who agrees with SCA’s Statement of Faith
Superior leadership skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to network and build relationships
Knowledge of long and short-range planning techniques and processes, and the ability to guide others through planning processes
A passion for and commitment to Christian education
Ability to work independently and with teams
Ability to cast vision and influence others to engage in campaigns and fundraisers supporting the vision
