Job Description:
High School Bible Teacher for Grades 9 – 12 (Long Term Substitute)
Education:
– Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in a related field
– Minimum of two years teaching experience in school setting
– ACSI certification required within two years of employment
Qualifications:
– Ability to teach/articulate God’s word to students – Scripture based
– Equipped to teach in an inquiry-based manner where students are challenged to think critically
– Demonstrates a strong Christian testimony
– Creates a positive learning environment reflective of the love of Christ
– Effectively manages a classroom and students
– Committed to forming personal relationships with students and families
– Works cooperatively with team members
Responsibilities:
– Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards for Bible.
– Manage classroom dynamics to create a positive learning environment and foster student participation.
– Assess student progress through standardized testing and provide personalized tutoring as needed.
– Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and share best practices in teaching methodologies.
– Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding academic performance and classroom activities.
