At Summit Christian Academy, we equip our students for post-secondary success.

Summit’s programs, starting in ninth grade, prepare and qualify our students for college admission. Our college preparatory education integrates rigorous academic training with the development of critical thinking and time management skills. In addition to individualized College Guidance sessions for ninth through twelfth grade students and parents, our dedicated College Guidance Counselor helps them find, apply for, and receive thousands of dollars in scholarships.

CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE

To create a financial aid profile, visit www.collegeboard.com. Click on “For Students” and then on the CSS/PROFILE link under “Pay for College”. Colleges, universities, and scholarship programs use the information collected on the PROFILE to help them award private grants and scholarship funds. Note: The College Board does not award scholarship money or other financial aid.

FastWeb

FastWeb is a scholarship search engine that helps find scholarships for the student based on an individual profile. FastWeb is one of the largest sources of local, national, and college-specific scholarships. If you supply an email address, they will notify you when new awards that match your profile are added to the database. You can submit an electronic application to some of the scholarships listed in the FastWeb scholarship database which can save you time and money. FastWeb also includes a college search and numerous other student resources.

FAFSA

Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Students and parents must complete the FAFSA as part of the application process for financial aid. You may complete a FAFSA application either via the web or on paper to apply for federal funding. To obtain a paper copy of the application, see the guidance counselor.

Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board

The Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA) is used by participating institutions of higher education in Texas to collect information to help determine a student’s eligibility for state financial aid.
