National Honor Society & Junior National Honor Society
Summit maintains a NHS and JNHS chapter. Students who meet the academic and character standards of NHS and JNHS commit to the values of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. As such, these students plan, implement, and participate in on campus and off campus service.
Media Club
The media club meets regularly at lunch time to plan and produce a weekly secondary news broadcast. Journalism, production and management skills are developed and exercised in this club is advised by math and science teacher Melissa Tapperson.
Impact Student Council
Impact Student Council is open to seniors. Those on the council work closely with Impact Program Director Ginger Lambert to plan and lead school events, particularly those of a spiritual nature such as See You At The Flag Pole, chapel and the like.
Elementary Cheer
Elementary Cheer is open to PreK-5th grade students. The club meets after school in the fall to learn cheers that are performed at the high school 6-man football games alongside varsity cheerleaders. The students are coached by teacher Melissa Drake.
Yearbook
Students participate in yearbook by helping with the book theme, photography of events, gathering information on classes and their activities, and engaging in page layout.
