Get To Know Mr. Congdon

“I am a lover of the outdoors, and you are much more likely to find me on a kayak fishing or off somewhere hiking than hanging out in the city. Obviously art and design are a big part of my life, and I also have a love of photography (which is why you often see me lugging around my camera gear wherever I go). Apart from this I am also fascinated by history and occasionally go metal detecting or just check out historical sites. I also enjoy biking and sand volleyball, and I much prefer outdoor activities like these than going to the gym. I love good stories and good movies and I try to create work that itself will tell a story and evoke the same emotions.

My faith is my identity. It’s how I see myself, as I can only imagine what my perception of life would be if I did not know of the work of Christ on the cross and the assurance of my future heavenly home thanks to what He did. As a teacher, I am blessed to be able to constantly point to God’s handiwork in the scientific and emotional building blocks of visual design. Additionally, I try to push students to higher levels through a gracious approach- identifying their strengths and achievements and using them as a springboard to tackle other areas that need growth.”
