Chrysty Lockhart

Math Interventionist

Biography

Hi friends! My name is Chrysty Lockhart! This will be my 17th year of teaching and my first year at Summit! I taught 3rd grade at Knowles Elementary in LISD for 9 years and 7 years as an Intervention Specialist where I worked with small groups of struggling Readers and Mathematicians in 3rd-5th grade, also in LISD.

I am  a graduate of Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida. There, I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in the areas of Deaf Education and Elementary Education!

I am married to my wonderful husband, Frank, and I have 2 amazing “bonus” children. Malcolm (18) and Addison (16). Malcolm is starting his college career at Texas State and Addison is a junior at Lago Vista High School.  We have a spunky little boy named Bruce (7) who is a 2nd grader here and a fur baby, Perry!

My goal for my classroom is to develop strong relationships, foster a growth mindset and build on the students’ current knowledge to become even more efficient mathematicians.

I am SO happy to get to know you this year and if you ever have any questions, please feel free to reach out!
