“I fell in love with music as a 5th grader listening to The Beatles on repeat. It was actually a Beatles cover band because the Beatles weren’t available on iTunes. Neither of my parents were musically inclined, so it was a gradual process of joining Band in 6th grade, then jazz club, and so on. I also love basketball (Let’s go Mavs!) and can talk endlessly about it, to my wife’s great appreciation.
The role faith plays in my life is as a constant reminder that I am here to serve those around me. It’s more important to me that my students display strong character than be a great musicians. Being a teacher is such an important task, and I strive to be the example others have set for me.”
