Letter below from March 17, 2020:
Based on the March 17 announcement by LISD and the continuing national trend, SCA will began online learning on Wednesday, March 25th. You can expect online learning to remain in effect for 1-1.5 weeks. Because LISD is suspending school thru April 3rd, we will similarly use this date as an initial goal for a possible return on Monday, April 6th. However, also like them we will re-assess over the coming week(s) based on the ever changing local and national situation.
Unfortunately, this means that all athletic, theater and other extracurricular activities are canceled until early April. We will keep you informed on plans for prom and graduation.
While our facility will remain closed, we are capable of providing emergency access if your student was unable to take home all textbooks or learning materials. These requests can be sent directly to me so that I can coordinate access.
The week before Spring Break, our staff and administration spent a considerable amount of time creating our online learning plan, and after an all hands meeting Friday, March 13, we left school confident that we could make the transition. While there will be minor variations, we’ve designed a common schedule format to ensure your ability to anticipate and plan daily requirements.
I want to thank you for the support offered to our school throughout the last few weeks. Finally, based on my professional experience I’m confident that social distancing is the fastest and most effective way to limit the spread of this virus. I remain optimistic that this crisis will pass.

Our online learning has now been in effect for 1 week. While we had some bumps and changes to be made, our parent feedback was utilized to help our teachers implement programs for online learning that are effective and conducive to different family environments.
