History & Accreditations

In November 2002, Cornerstone Christian School contacted representatives of Great Hills Christian School to discuss the possibility of creating one school. Committed to creating a school that could offer the highest quality Christian education while being better stewards of God‘s resources, the leadership from both schools began to create a vision whereby the two schools could come together as one.

Through God’s work in this group of believers, the new entity, Summit Christian Academy, was born. In just two months, key details of the merger were worked out, enabling the two schools to begin the enrollment process for the 2003-2004 school year as one school.

Summit Christian Academy has PK4 through 12th grades. We are adding a PK3 program in the 2019-2020 school year.

Summit is an independent, not-for-profit Texas corporation. We are accredited by ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International).
