On Saturday, October 20th, five SCA choir students joined me, Mr. Dorsett and Coach Dorsett in supporting A21 which is a global organization in over 50 countries committed to ending human trafficking. The students wrote encouraging letters to victims who had been rescued from human trafficking and walked a little over a mile (including around the capital) in complete silence in support of victims worldwide. While walking, they handed out flyers of information on human trafficking to onlookers. The experience was one of solidarity and was emotionally moving. The walk was concluded with prayer for all those affected by human trafficking. Just a few months ago, the students were not aware of the human trafficking problem or even what human trafficking is. They are now not only informed, but have contributed to abolishing modern day slavery.
