The Talons Program

Summit now has two ways to attend school, the Full-Time program and the Talons Program.

Students enrolled in the Talons Program receive professional classroom instruction from qualified faculty on the school campus three to five days a week. Classes are offered on a Monday/Wednesday/Friday or a Tuesday/Thursday/Friday schedule. Those enrolled in the Talons Program enjoy:
• Schedule flexibility during days when not at school
• A fully planned academic year including school start, holidays and vacation periods, achievement testing, etc.
• Excellent school facilities including science lab, computer lab, library, gym, etc.
• Orientation and support for parents and students prior to school
• Access to online homework assignments, grade book, report cards, transcripts
• Biblically-based, biblically-integrated, college-prep curriculum
• For those enrolled in at least 4 core courses, access to all athletic programs, including boys football, girls volleyball, girls and boys basketball, boys baseball, girls and boys track, and girls and boys cross country
• Access to Impact Education trips
• Preference in re-enrollment in the Talons Program and the Full-Time Program options

Students may earn diplomas by fulfilling the following requirements:
• Declare your intent to graduate upon entering the program
• Meet Summit’s graduation requirements through transfer credits and Summit credits
• Establish residency by enrollment in the Full-Time Program for the junior and senior years
• Must earn a distinguished diploma in order to be a candidate for valedictorian or salutatorian

Acceptable transfer credits:
• Credits from an accredited institution
• Dual credits from colleges
• Homeschool credits with the approval of the Principal and for a fee ($100 per course with a $300 maximum upon enrollment; $150 a course thereafter)
